Retinal Antibodies

Retinal Antibody testing is performed by a referral laboratory. This assay is only available to members of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Autoantibodies against various retinal proteins have been associated with vision loss in paraneoplastic and non-paraneoplastic autoimmune retinopathies (AR). Retinal Antibodies tests for paraneoplastic retinopathy against recoverin, alpha-enolase and carbonic anhydrase II.

This assay is performed at a referral laboratory (external users requiring serum Retinal antibody levels are advised to contact the referral laboratory directly):
