Immunofixation

Also known as: Serum Fix; Fix; Paraprotein identification; Myeloma screen

All serum and urine samples with suspected paraprotein bands on capillary zone electrophoresis are typed by immunofixation/immunodisplacement and quantified by densitometry.

Ambient temperature if courier will deliver within 72 hours otherwise consider refrigerated transport. Freezing is not a requirement.
