HevyLITE

The HevyLITE assay measures intact immunoglobulin and allows the individual identification of different light chain types of each immunoglobulin class i.e. IgGκ, IgGλ, IgAκ, IgAλ, IgMκ and IgMλ.

It is particularly useful for monitoring Multiple Myeloma patients with monoclonal proteins that are difficult to quantify by electrophoresis - e.g. Paraproteins that migrate within the α2-regions or β-regions.

Currently only available to Haematolgists

Non-OUH Clients

You must provide the Isotype and total Immunoglobulin of the paraprotein for HevyLite testing to be performed.
