About Us

By setting aside special time with a child, parents and carers can make a huge difference to their communication development.

Language Launchpad provides advice for parents on how to maximise the communication opportunities when reading together.

Our resources can be adapted for each family and child. Parents and carers can choose how many and which tasks to focus on. There is universal advice (Launchpad Cards), for use when reading any book, and tailored ideas and activities for specific books (Rocket Cards).

Oxford Craniofacial Unit Speech and Language Therapy

We provide a specialist service for children and adults with craniofacial conditions who have complex difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing.

Currently only specialist craniofacial units in the UK have specialist Speech and Language Therapists who work with this dedicated caseload.

We are actively involved in research and clinical audit projects, and share our findings in journal publications and through education and training.

We develop creative ways to maximise communication for children with craniofacial conditions, such as in our innovative Communication Passport project.
