Foundation trainees on a sim course
What we offer
Returning to training, regardless of the reason, can be a difficult and stressful time for trainees.
We are committed to supporting trainees to return to training after a period of extended absence (three months or longer).
The Supported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) initiative aims to support trainees with their confidence, skills and knowledge so that they can safely and confidently return to practice within their training programme.
Trainees absent for less than three months may also opt in to the programme.
There is a range of resources available through the Deanery to support your return, including supernumerary re-orientation days, sim skills sessions, mentoring, coaching and other opportunities.
For more information about these please see the link below:

This will take you to a website with all the information, but I would particularly draw your attention to the courses the Deanery run for returning trainees which can be found here:

Supporting bereaved parents
This framework has been developed with the aim of providing support to bereaved parents who are healthcare staff after the death of a baby or child at any gestation or age.
The framework is to support bereaved parents themselves, line managers, supervisors and colleagues. It provides guidance for supporting staff in the immediate aftermath of the child/ren's death, and a framework for supporting a return to work.
