After your referral has been accepted by the OUH ME/CFS Therapy Team, we will offer you an assessment with either a physiotherapist or clinical psychologist.
We will then discuss the most appropriate next steps which may include therapy within the service.
Our approach is informed by current guidelines including the NICE guidelines for ME/CFS and BACME ME/CFS Guide to Therapy.
We are also informed by our clinical experience of working with people with ME/CFS and other research into the best ways to manage long term physical health conditions and difficulties that commonly co-occur in ME/CFS.
Additionally, we routinely collect feedback from patients and use this to guide our practice.
