Auditory Implant Programme

The Auditory Implant Programme is accepting new referrals for Cochlear Implants (CI), Middle Ear Implants (MEI) and Bone Conduction Implants (BCI) / Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA).

Established in 1994, the Oxford Auditory Implant Programme provides these devices to hearing-impaired children and adults who do not benefit from standard hearing aids.

Appointments

As a specialist centre we cover a large geographical area and there is a high demand for our appointments. If you cannot attend the appointment we offer you, please let us know in good time so we can offer it to someone else.

If you have a medical emergency related to a Cochlear Implant or Bone Anchored Hearing Aid at the weekend or any other time we are not open, please contact your out of hours GP or visit A&E and ask to see the on-call ENT doctor.

Accessing the service

We are always happy to discuss whether a Cochlear Implant (CI), Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) or Middle Ear Implant (MEI) is likely to be suitable.
