General Urology

Disorders of the urogenital tract are common and account for many visits to GPs.

A large amount of the work in urology relates to cancer and cancer-related conditions that can occur in all parts of the urinary tract; however, there are many other diseases that require either medical or surgical intervention.

Our department offers General Urology services for the diagnosis and treatment of the most common urological problems.

Common conditions we look after include:

  • raised PSA
  • blood in the urine
  • urinary symptoms
  • benign enlargement of the prostate
  • recurrent urinary tract infections
  • urinary incontinence
  • scrotal lumps and swellings
  • problems with the foreskin
  • scrotal, penile and prostatic pain.

General Urology work is done by all of our consultants.
