If a research project requires a piece of equipment to be loaned to OUH, the Clinical Engineering Department should be contacted to ensure that safety processes are followed.
The loan equipment will also have to be added to any trial agreement being negotiated by the OUH Contracts team.
There has been a change in the way that Clinical Engineering wishes to be notified about the use of equipment for research projects.
This only applies to equipment that is being loaned or given to OUH for the research project.
R&D will send a form to the local research team at the start of the local set-up / feasibility review for the research team to complete with the equipment details.
The form should be sent directly to Clinical Engineering.
