Inpatient physiotherapy

The inpatient physiotherapy team is both ward and specialty based, working closely with the surgical and medical teams across the Trust.

There are physiotherapy specialists in:

  • tumour surgery
  • limb reconstruction
  • bone infection and rheumatology.

Patients who have been seen as inpatients are able to continue their treatment/rehabilitation as outpatients (both at the OUH and in GP practices) when this is appropriate.

In some cases, physiotherapists are able to visit patients in their own homes.
