The National NF2 Service

The NF2 Service was established in 2010 and is funded by the National Specialist Commissioning Group (NSCG) for patients in England and Scotland.

Patients from Ireland and Wales can be seen under this service but need to have agreed funding with support from their doctors.

Across the country there are four main centres; Oxford, Cambridge, London and Manchester. Oxford is the coordinating centre for the South West region.

  • (South West) Oxford with satellites in Bristol, Plymouth and Southampton
  • (North East) Cambridge with satellites in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham
  • (South East) London covering the South East
  • (North West) Manchester with satellites in Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield

The Oxford NF2 Service provides care for children and adults with Neurofibromatosis Type 2. The clinic has over 225 patient visits per year with over 20 new referrals. We see people from the Oxford area, the South West of England and Wales.
