There is a garden area exclusively for patients of the Bone Infection Unit (BIU).
This is a delightful, peaceful and spacious area where patients can take a little time out to sit in the fresh air in secluded and secure surroundings.
There are many mature shrubs which enhance the BIU garden. In addition, there are also two sculptures in the garden created by Sam Baxter, a stone-mason and sculptor.
Sam's sculptures are a meditation on time and the effect this has on stone, a material normally associated with permanence and solidity.
