Changes in condition

There are a number of things that can be done in response to a change in condition:

You can:

  • Wait until next clinic
  • Contact your GP to request a review
  • Restart an exercise programme previously recommended
  • Restart medication such as ibuprofen
  • Use the advice recommended in previous clinic letters
  • Contact us for advice or to bring your clinic appointment forward

We may recommend changes without having to see you in clinic. These include:

  • Adjusting medication (for example, dose and type of medication)
  • Stopping the medication briefly to allow time for things to settle.
  • Watching and waiting

Blood test results

See blood tests for advice on what to do if you've had an abnormal blood test result.
