Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry involves the care of patients who require the restoration of the oral and dental tissues.

It includes the dental monospecialties of:

  • endodontics
  • periodontics
  • prosthodontics (including implantology)

and its foundation is based upon how these interact in the management of cases requiring multifaceted care.

Priority is given to certain patient groups, namely oncology, congenital cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies.

Much of this work involves multidisciplinary care and joint treatment planning with other specialties such as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics.
