Fellowships

The NDA has a wealth of Fellowship training opportunities to offer to recently-qualified anaesthetists.

The department comprises almost 120 Consultant Anaesthetists and over 50 anaesthetic trainees.

Many faculty members are world-renowned in their subspecialty field, and have secured peer reviewed funding and high impact publications. Many others are excellent teachers and mentors.

To be eligible for a clinical Fellowship, the applicant must have completed at least five years of anaesthesia training and practice, and completed all specialty certification exams in their country of origin before starting the Fellowship.

Evidence of English proficiency is required if medical training did not occur in English.

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a keen interest in their chosen Fellowship area.

The NDA is responsible for the delivery of anaesthesia in operating theatres across seven sites in Oxford and Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Hospitals

Anaesthetists also provide care in our critical care units and the Oxford Pain Management Centre.
