DAISY Award winner Chris Rigozzi and team

Chris Rigozzi has worked as a nurse for over 40 years and in December was presented with a DAISY Award by Chief Nurse, Sam Foster.

Chris is Specialist Nurse Lead on the Nuroscience Ward and said, "This is an extremely special moment for me to presented with this prestigious Award for my care, passion and commitment to patient care.

"I will continue to work alongside my friends and colleagues to support the treatment and delivery of care to all patients and their families." 

Chris was nominated by a patient because of the care received from her during five days of chemotherapy treatment in April.

"She talked to me about my anxieties and showed incredible care and compassion for what I was going through. I'm incredibly thankful for Chris, she is simply the best nurse I have ever had."
