About NOTSSCaN

NOTSSCaN comprises the following.

  • Neurosciences: neurosurgery, neuro-medicine, neuro intensive care, neuro outpatients and nurse practitioner led clinics.
  • Orthopaedics: orthopaedic wards, rheumatology services, day surgery unit for minor injuries, high dependency / recovery unit, bone infection unit.
  • Trauma: Oxford Major Trauma Centre (MTC) network across Thames Valley Trauma Network, poly-trauma, rehabilitation, follow-up clinic for new trauma patients and reconstruction clinics.
  • Specialist Surgery: ophthalmology, ear nose and throat (ENT), plastics and reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial surgery, head and neck, and vascular surgery.
  • Theatres: routine and emergency surgery takes place that includes specialist surgery such as ear, nose and throat (ENT), ophthalmology, plastics, neurology, paediatric orthopaedics, general and maxillofacial surgery, vascular, emergencies, spinal surgery, orthopaedics and major trauma.
  • Children's and Neonates: paediatric neurosurgery, paediatric endocrinology / diabetic medicine, paediatric cinical haematology / medical oncology, paediatric immunology and allergy, paediatric infectious diseases, paediatric respiratory medicine / cystic fibroses, paediatric rheumatology, paediatric neuro-disability, paediatric cardiology, paediatric neurology, paediatric haemophilia, neonatology, paediatric surgery and urology and paediatric intensive care.
