Everyone is warmly invited to the Annual Public Meeting of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on Wednesday 26 September from 5.30pm onwards in Tingewick Hall at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

It will be an opportunity to come and hear about the last year in the life of our hospitals, and to find out about our future plans.

And it will also be an opportunity to celebrate this year's 70th anniversary of the founding of the National Health Service in 1948.

An exhibition of photos spanning seven decades of the NHS in Oxfordshire will be on display and there will be a chance to see an excerpt from a BBC TV documentary about the John Radcliffe which was broadcast earlier this year as part of the BBC's programming to mark the NHS 70th anniversary.

Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm when there will be a chance to chat to staff from the Trust and other organisations about their work who will have exhibition stands about a range of topics.

The meeting itself will start at 6.00pm and will include presentations about earlier diagnosis of cancer at the Churchill Hospital, plans to expand the Emergency Department (A&E) at the John Radcliffe Hospital, and the introduction of open visiting and a Visitors' Charter on all the Trust's four hospital sites from Monday 1 October.

There will also be a Question Time session so that members of the public can quiz the Trust Board and find out more about what matters to them.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
