Last chance to nominate staff for Patients' Choice Award

Members of the public and patients have until Friday 3 August 2018 to nominate a member of staff or a team who has gone the extra mile to provide outstanding care at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The 2018 Patients' Choice Award is the opportunity for patients, their families and carers to say 'thank you' to the staff they feel have made a real difference during their time at the hospitals and therefore deserve stand-out recognition.
The winner will be revealed at the Trust's annual staff awards event that takes place in December at Oxford Town Hall.
Dame Fiona Caldicott, Chairman of the Trust said: "There is no better way for patients and their families to say thank you than sending nominations for this prestigious award.
"Whether it was clinical staff who provided patients with compassionate care or another member of our team who contributed to making their visit a positive one, we want to hear from them. We want to celebrate these examples of best practice to help us improve our services further.
"These employees reflect our core values of excellence, compassion, respect, delivery, learning and improvement and the Patients' Choice Award is a very tangible way of recognising their achievements."
Patients who have been in care either at the John Radcliffe Hospital, the Churchill Hospital, the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre or the Horton General Hospital, as well as their families and carers, can nominate the member of staff or a team by completing the online Patients' Choice Award form.
Last year's winner was Craniofacial Specialist Nurse, Kari Ashton, for the empathy and dedication she demonstrated to the patients she was taking care of.
The Patients' Choice Award was established in 2016 and is part of OUH's annual Staff Awards which recognise and celebrate the inspiring and innovative work the staff do across the Trust every day to improve the lives of patients and service users.
