Gurjeet hits peak of his career

13/09/2018
This article is more than five years old.

Congratulations to Dr Gurjeet Jutley, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Oxford Eye Hospital, for completing the Three Peaks Challenge - climbing the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.

He endured rain in the dark on Scafell Pike and 40mph winds on Snowdon, but ultimately won through!

Gurjeet, whose particular interests are glaucoma, trauma and complex cataract surgery, has raised over £1,500 for Oxfordshire Association for the Blind, which helps blind and visually impaired people in the county to deal with the issues that come with having sight problems.

Gurjeet says: "At an early stage at medical school, I had a passion for voluntary work. Whether organising fundraising events or helping build orphanages, helping those in need was the main reason I read medicine."
