Author of more than 600 scientific papers, book chapters, scientific abstracts, many on the genetic basis of musculoskeletal disease.

Weekly Lupus/Inflammatory Connective Tissue Disease clinic at John Radcliffe Hospital (multidisciplinary clinic with clinical immunology, dermatology and nephrology) for SLE, scleroderma, and other multisystem autoimmune diseases.

He is a distinguished member of the British Society for Rheumatology and Governing Body Fellow of Green Templeton College. Awarded Michael Mason Prize (1992) and Heberden Medal (2012) by the British Society for Rheumatology.
