Get involved – how you can help

Patients, carers, family members and healthcare professionals

If you:

  • have ever had a blood transfusion, or need one,
  • have been, or are, a blood donor,
  • are a family member, or carer, of someone who has had, or needs, a blood transfusion,
  • have an interest in strategies to avoid blood transfusions, including from the Jehovah’s Witness community, or
  • work as a health or social care professional involved with blood transfusion or blood donation

. . . we want to hear from you.

Please think about your own experience at any point on - or across the whole - clinical pathway, from blood donation through to recovery from transfusion, as well as about treatment strategies that provide alternatives to using blood, and fill in our short survey. It should take you about ten minutes. You can complete the survey online, or we will be happy to send you a paper copy.

  • When the survey is available online, we will place a link on the National Survey page of this website.
  • If you prefer to receive a paper copy in the post, please contact us.

Charities and organisations

If your charity or organisation serves people who are concerned with blood transfusion and blood donation (as described above) we hope that you will sign up to become a supporting partner of the Partnership. For more information about joining the Partnership, please contact us.

Whether you are a partner or not, you can also:

  • promote the Blood Transfusion and Blood Donation PSP to your members via e-mail, or at events;
  • mention the PSP in your next newsletter or blog;
  • tweet about the PSP (we are happy to suggest text for tweets).
