How to find us

Microbiology is on Level 7 of the John Radcliffe Hospital.

  • From the main entrance on Level 2 of the John Radcliffe Hospital, walk down the corridor and take the central lifts to Level 7.
  • On leaving the lift look for the Microbiology sign (on the corridor that has no wards).
  • Walk to the end of this corridor, where there is a hatch.
  • Please ring the bell and someone will assist you.

Information for GPs

Oxfordshire GPs can contact the Microbiology medical staff for clinical advice.

Please include the following information as appropriate (please note confidential patient information should only be sent from nhs.net accounts).

  • Patient's name
  • Patient's date of birth
  • Microbiology report number
  • Which Microbiology specialty advice/guidance is required
  • Comment
  • Your contact details (please include a direct telephone number)
