Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) Service

Our specialist pulmonary hypertension (PH) service is a shared care service, working with the nationally designated PH centre at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Service provides diagnosis, treatment, long-term support and advice to patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) or suspected PH.

Patients can be referred into the service from their GP, another specialty or following an emergency admission.

The Oxford Heart Centre and Echocardiography Department offer a weekly outpatient clinic to diagnose and follow up patients with PH. Patients will normally have routine measurements performed which will include height, weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturations and electrocardiogram (ECG).

An echocardiogram (ECHO) and a six minute walk test may also be performed.
